Surprise X-Men '97 Skin Coming to Marvel Rivals (Emma, Storm or Rogue?)

Marvel Rivals dropped the bomb this week from its own account: new content is coming in the next few days, and it's not one thing but two. One is already confirmed. The other... is pure mystery.

New skin confirmed, and it comes with a mystery

Here's what's confirmed, straight from the official announcement (and already teased in the Season 9.5 roadmap):

• Ultron: Street Style· his first legendary skin, arriving September 4.
• A surprise skin from the X-Men '97 Season 2 collab· for a hero who has NOT been announced yet.

Yes, you read that right: we know a second X-Men '97 skin is on the way, but the game is leaving us on read about who's going to wear it. And like any good Marvel Rivals fan, I obviously started speculating.

What about Emma Frost? And Storm?

It's the obvious question, because both are already in the game and both have "animated collab" written all over them.

But here's the plain truth: nothing is confirmed yet. Emma, Storm and Rogue aren't mentioned in the official announcement. This is pure speculation, and until the reveal drops, it could be anyone.

The Rogue comment makes sense: she's also in the current roster as a Vanguard, and if X-Men '97 Season 2 is about to close its arc with her on screen, that fits perfectly with Marvel Rivals' pattern of releasing skins tied to specific moments in the show.

My heart wants it to be Storm, she's the one who feels most "X-Men '97" in her DNA. But my head says the Rogue bet isn't bad at all if it really is tied to the season finale. · Fer Brambi
